ASICS needs to manage 35 different country/language pairs, each with their own local contents, product databases, events, articles, store listings, and other region-specific information. To do this effectively they need decentralized control over website contents while maintaining centralized control of branding across all sites.
Additionally they require the ability to tie in easily with other APIs including Google Maps, Flickr, Twitter and the flexibility to quickly add new campaigns and features that are identified through real-world usage.
We built a highly customized QOR™-based system that elegantly allows centralized control of ASICS’ brand while allowing local flexibility where it is needed.
Migrations are tough. Moving so many sites, languages, features, and 3rd party integrations was no easy task. It took us 9 months to complete the migration, which is our longest initial build to date. But, now that it is complete, the benefits that come from the combination of stability and flexibility of QOR™ has paid off in a stable, fast site on which new custom features are quickly and economically deployed.
